A key objective is to identify and develop effective strategies for reducing carbon emissions across Australia's major agricultural sectors, including livestock, grain, dairy, cotton, poultry, and market gardening.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive research on decarbonisation strategies for the agricultural sector.
- Collaborate with industry experts to identify best practices and technologies for reducing carbon emissions.
- Develop and implement effective policies and initiatives to promote sustainable agriculture.
- Engage with stakeholders, including farmers, policymakers, and community groups, to raise awareness and build support for decarbonisation efforts.
Requirements:
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, agriculture, sustainability).
- Proven experience in sustainability, agriculture, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
