As a Decarbonisation Commercial Development Manager within the Decarbonisation and Customer Strategy team (DCS), you will drive the commercial development of bespoke new and integrated sustainable energy solutions for AGL's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers seeking to decarbonise and manage energy costs. The focus is on emerging solutions including batteries, virtual power plant services, load flexibility, electrification, energy management and biogas.

The DCS team defines and executes market growth strategies and product innovation and provides key analytics and commercial support to deliver on the vision of being the decarbonisation partner of choice for Australian businesses.

What you'll be doing:
- Leading commercial development activities of technology-enabled energy solutions for business customers that combine one or more of AGL's products and services, from opportunity evaluation through to signing of contracts.- Working closely with sales teams in C&I's Sustainable Business Energy Solutions and Energy Sales teams to convert customer opportunities for lower carbon energy solutions and products and guiding customers through options for net zero pathways.- Evaluating business customer opportunities, in collaboration with sales managers where appropriate, build commercial business cases including financial and carbon modelling, and drive data-based business decisions.-
- Leading commercial negotiations of bespoke new commercial agreements by defining commercial principles with end customers and developing innovative contract terms and conditions.- Developing and managing new product initiatives. This includes creation of product and pricing constructs, contract development, and project management of internal processes and training others internally.

What you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in relevant technical and/or business discipline.- Relevant energy industry experience and strong understanding of the sustainable and energy solutions space including solar, batteries, demand response, load flexibility and carbon certificates and offsets including demonstrated knowledge of Australian energy markets and Australian and global carbon markets.- Business acumen and commercial skills and experience in engaging with business customers and strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.- Experience in delivering outcomes in large corporate environments managing various internal and external stakeholders.- Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
