Job Title

The Science Department Leader is a senior leadership position responsible for guiding and managing the science department at Belmont High School.

  • Create a collaborative team environment to drive excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of all students.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAFF, STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND THE WIDER COMMUNITY.
  • Use data to inform strategic decision-making and drive initiatives that align with whole-school priorities.

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to education policy.
