Job Opportunity: Specialist Rehabilitation Professional

About the Role:

The position entails providing consultative rehabilitation services to patients in various settings, including acute wards and community-based clinics.

  • Delivery of specialist rehabilitation consulting services for Ipswich Hospital, rural facilities, and Australian Health and Hospital services external to the Ipswich Hospital referrals.
  • Provision of inpatient services at Stroke and Rehabilitation Services at Ipswich Hospital, Rural Rehabilitation Services, future service locations.
  • Outpatient clinics in community-based rehabilitation settings or other outpatient settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical care to patients on a day-to-day basis, leading the associated multidisciplinary team to ensure provision of appropriate patient care to the highest standard. Additionally, they will provide professional leadership within a specialist rehabilitation medical service and training, education, and supervision to junior medical staff and other healthcare members.

  • Commitment to quality healthcare principles.
  • Extensive clinical experience with knowledge and skills extending across the range of rehabilitation medical disciplines.
  • Able to deliver quality specialty care to patients in a clinical setting.
  • Contribution to the establishment and fostering of relationships within medical specialities of the Division of Medicine.
  • Leading performance, development, and evaluation of education programs for clinicians.
  • Applied business management skills to plan financial operations of the service.
  • Collaboration and connectivity in provision of Medical Service within a multi-disciplinary team.
