Tree Care Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for the proactive management and enhancement of Council's urban and open space tree assets. This involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that tree assessments and management services are executed efficiently and effectively.

You will also be responsible for managing risks associated with trees through proactive inspection, ongoing data input, conducting audits, and maintaining the tree register via the Council's Asset Management System.

In addition to these duties, you will be expected to maintain high standards of customer service and fulfill other duties as directed by your Coordinator or Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of arboriculture and the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting. You should also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • ">
  • AQF Level 5 Diploma in Horticulture (Arboriculture) or nearing completion">
  • Class C Drivers Licence and NSW WHS White Card">
  • Proven experience in tree assessment and management">
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills">
  • Ability to use technology and systems for record-keeping and reporting">
