Job Opportunity: Tree Management Officer

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves proactive management and enhancement of urban and open space tree assets. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that tree assessments and management services are executed efficiently and effectively.

About the Role:

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to manage risks associated with trees through proactive inspection, ongoing data input, conducting audits, and maintaining the tree register via the Asset Management System.
  • The ideal candidate will possess expertise in arboriculture, including knowledge of best practices in tree management, assessment, and maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be required to engage with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • AQF Level 5 Diploma in Horticulture (Arboriculture) or nearing completion.
  • Class C Driver's Licence and NSW WHS White Card.
  • Proven experience in tree assessment and management.
  • Ability to use technology and systems for record-keeping and reporting.
