- Salary: $70,158.40 - $81,383.12 p/a + super
- Permanent full-time role – 38 hours per week - 9 day fortnight

About the role
Are you passionate about trees and the environment? Do you have a knack for operating heavy machinery?
Council is looking for a dedicated Tree Worker / Plant Operator to join our team and make a positive impact on the local community
Reporting to the Streetscape Supervisor, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and care for the urban tree population through pruning, planting, and removal
- Safely operate and maintain plant machinery including trucks, chippers, and stump grinders
- Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance projects across various locations
- Work alongside a skilled team to ensure safety and efficiency in all tasks
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public and responding to service requests
Required experience & skills
- Certificate III in Arboriculture or a willingness to undertake training to obtain
- Experience in tree care, horticulture, or arboriculture
- Background in operating plant machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to follow safety procedures
- First Aid, Traffic Control, Level 1 Chainsaw Operation certificates and MR licence – or a willingness to undertake training to obtain
