Job Opportunity: HSE Advisor

This is an ideal role for a proactive and self-motivated professional with excellent communication and organisational skills, looking to advance their career in site-based safety within the Construction Industry.

The successful applicant will have a strong background in civil construction and a minimum of 5 years experience working in a Safety Position, preferably with a Certificate IV in OHS. A Diploma in OHS or higher is also desirable, as well as a Certificate IV in TAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in training and development of HSE practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Contribute to the planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing of protective measures to minimise operational losses and occupational health problems
  • Implement and monitor site safety awareness initiatives to promote a positive health and safety culture
  • Carry out workplace inspections and system audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Liaise closely with Project Management on HSE matters to ensure seamless coordination
  • Manage key safety programs and initiatives to maintain a high level of site safety

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving abilities. Sound knowledge and understanding of OHS and Environmental Legislations, Regulations, Standards and Code of Practice are essential. Additionally, computer and numeracy skills are required for this role.
