Role Overview

  • This position entails leading the planning, design, and execution of hydrology and drainage solutions for significant infrastructure projects across Australia.

About the Position

  • The successful candidate will oversee flood risk assessments, catchment analysis, and stormwater management strategies in accordance with Australian Standards and Austroads guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise the development of concept and detailed designs for road and rail infrastructure, ensuring integration with surface and subsurface drainage systems, culverts, waterways, and flood protection infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring high-quality, sustainable, and innovative design outcomes.

Necessary Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in hydrology, drainage, and water management for major infrastructure projects in Australia.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent.
