About the OpportunityThe successful candidate will become a trusted advisor to the business and gain exposure to high-impact projects.
Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Providing advice across a wide range of commercial, corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters.
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts including procurement, banking, and confidentiality agreements.
- Managing disputes and claims efficiently, including oversight of external legal counsel.
- Contribute to corporate governance, risk and support major operational and strategic initiatives.
Key qualifications for this role include 5-12 years PAE, ideally gained across both private practice and in-house with a background in either the mining, resources, construction or engineering sectors.
You'll also bring:
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
- Strong judgment, critical thinking, and a pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
