Senior Financial Accountant

About this role

This is a high-impact financial governance position offering exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape our financial governance in a stable and forward-thinking environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory financial statements ensuring compliance with statutory standards.
  • Providing technical advice to the entire organization.
  • Collaborating with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team in planning, preparation, and delivery of ESG and sustainability financial related disclosures.
  • Coordinating external audit processes, acting as the key liaison between auditors and internal teams.
  • Managing and updating finance and accounting policies, ensuring alignment with evolving accounting standards.
  • Providing strategic updates to the Board on changes in financial reporting standards.
  • Executing core financial accounting tasks including general ledger postings, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Championing continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

You will thrive in this governance-focused role if you bring:

  • A background in chartered accounting, ideally gained at a Big Four firm.
  • A solid understanding of accounting standards and how they apply within a business context.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with auditors, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for process improvement and financial integrity.
  • Experience in financial and sustainability reporting, policy development, and audit coordination.
