We are seeking a skilled Fish Cutter/Seafood Handler to join our team in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

As a Fish Cutter/Seafood Handler, you will play a vital role in preparing and processing seafood products for display and sale. You will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing fish and seafood products, maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut, trim and prepare fish and seafood products for display and sale
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene and food safety
  • Operate machinery (e.g., filleting, scaling, skinning etc)
  • Handle and store seafood products to prevent damage and spoilage
  • Provide exceptional customer service and guidance on seafood preparation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a fish cutter or seafood handler
  • Knowledge of seafood handling, preparation and food safety regulations
  • Heavy lifting of fish boxes, unloading/loading of cool room and truck
  • Basic math skills for inventory management
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Work Authorisation: Australia (preferred)
  • Work Location: In person
