About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Remediation Specialist. As a key member of our National Firearms Register (NFR) Project, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of firearms data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist operational support to the NFR Project Team, including collaboration with the Firearms Policy and Recording Unit.
  • Process customer requests within required timeframes and relevant service delivery and security standards.
  • Assign and track escalated Data Remediation related issues as required.
  • Collate, analyze, and prepare reports on Firearms Data Remediation processing, as per standard operating procedures.
  • Undertake data quality assurance and investigations, present findings, and provide recommendations to inform business improvement.
  • Undertake assigned duties as directed by the Team Leader NFR Data Remediation.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, standard operating procedures, work health and safety policies, and procedures.
Selection Criteria
  • Sound knowledge in computer systems, records management, and major business systems, or the ability to obtain quickly.
  • High degree of accuracy and strong analytical skills and attention to detail when interpreting and inputting data.
  • Prior experience operating in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational and time management skills; with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work independently with minimal supervision, and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving skills, sound organisational skills, flexibility in thinking, and cross-cultural awareness.
