This role guides individuals and teams to effectively implement all components of the Privacy Management Framework and supports the development and oversight of privacy compliance management at Australian Red Cross.
The role involves raising privacy awareness, providing assistance with key privacy management controls such as Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy Collection Notices, and working with senior stakeholders to embed privacy by design within each area of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Privacy, Information and Knowledge Management to develop and implement the privacy management maturity pathway for Australian Red Cross.
- Work closely with the Information Security Team and Legal Team in ensuring alignment with better practice principles and adherence with contract, legislative and regulatory obligations.
- Assist staff to identify and manage privacy obligations and risks, including by supporting Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Support staff to implement privacy management measures into standard operating procedures.
- Monitor privacy compliance across the organisation and investigate any compliance issues.
- Develop and deliver training to build awareness and understanding of privacy risks and privacy management.
- Maintain a privacy risk register and provide clear and effective reporting to senior management.
You have a keen eye for detail and possess strong analytical abilities, allowing you to tackle complex problems with precision. Your organisational skills are exceptional, and you thrive on solving intricate challenges. Excellent communication is one of your strengths, and you excel in creating and delivering training materials. As a good listener and empathetic team player, you enjoy collaborating with others and developing innovative processes and procedures.
You already have deep data privacy knowledge or come from a background in information science, legal, regulatory, compliance, or risk management, and have a strong interest in specialising in privacy.
