The Community Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in fostering collaborative relationships and referral pathways with local businesses, government agencies, and key support services to drive sustainable employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions.
Successful candidates will have a strong background in community engagement, ideally within Employment Services or a similar sector, with exceptional interpersonal and networking skills. They will be able to develop and deliver strategic engagement plans, as well as possess knowledge of community organisations and employment trends.
Working collaboratively with the team, the officer will ensure positive business outcomes while maintaining empathy, dignity, and respect in their daily work. They will also be responsible for managing police checks and working with children checks prior to commencement of employment.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with diverse groups, including individuals with disabilities or culturally and linguistically diverse communities. A qualification such as a Cert IV in Employment Services is highly regarded but not essential for the role.
