Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate professional to join our Adult Inpatient Mental Health unit as a Carer Advocate.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in utilising your 'Lived Experience' of caring for a person with mental illness to assist families in understanding and ensuring their perspectives and needs are understood and addressed throughout the healthcare journey.

As a Carer Advocate, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, advocate for the rights and well-being of carers, develop and implement strategies to enhance carer engagement, education, and support programs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of carer-centred care practices within our organisation.

You must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build meaningful connections with carers from diverse backgrounds.
