This is a permanent position with the City of Stonnington, responsible for developing and delivering high-quality library programming for children, young adults, and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement library programming that promotes information and digital literacy among children and young adults.
- Collaborate with the Library Services team, Library Development Officer, Team Leaders, and Children's Library Officers to deliver quality programming across the service.
- Contribute to the development of children's and youth collections, providing input and advice on purchasing decisions.
- Serve as the central point of contact for schools and early years services in the municipality, working with teachers and educators to provide targeted programming.
- Provide reader's advisory and information services on rostered desk shifts, ensuring a high-quality customer experience for all library users.
- Relevant degree in Librarianship or Information Management, with eligibility for Associate membership of ALIA.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering children's literacy programs in a public library setting.
- Ability to lead and support team members, contributing positively to the team culture.
