Senior Staff Accountant Job

We are seeking a skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for completing monthly accounting duties, including the preparation and recording of journal entries, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of reconciliations, preparation of year-end tax packages, and special projects as required.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations
  • Coordinate work efforts with national shared services
  • Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for SOX binders
  • Prepare initial income and balance sheet variance analysis for review by division finance leaders
  • Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports, cash flow projections, and forecasts
  • Prepare year-end tax package and various financial reports

Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent in related field)
  • Minimum 2 years general accounting or finance experience
  • Knowledge of accounting theory and practice
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under time pressure
