About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at BaptistCare, providing high-quality services to clients in the community. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients to promote independence and restore functional abilities, enabling them to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualized programs for aged care clients living in the community
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to clients under Aged Care funding
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal client outcomes
- Conduct home visits and assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized plans
- Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to promote independence and functional abilities
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to plans as needed
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency
- Postgraduate experience working with a variety of aged care services, including community settings
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy and willingness to utilize required software
- Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and values
