Job Title: Senior Gardener

We are seeking a Senior Gardener to join our team. As a Senior Gardener, you will be responsible for supervising gardening tasks performed by junior staff members to ensure the school grounds are safe, tidy, and conducive to learning.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

The successful applicant will also be required to maintain turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, and hard landscaping features such as courts and tiered limestone seating areas.

The role involves collaborating with the Facilities Coordinator to develop safety procedures and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise gardening tasks performed by junior staff members to ensure the school grounds are safe, tidy, and conducive to learning.
  • Maintain turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, and hard landscaping features.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator to develop safety procedures and risk assessments.
Requirements and Eligibility:
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa with relevant work rights.
  • Working With Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
