RoleThe Stevens Group is currently looking for a Network and Security Analyst to join its I.T. Team. We are seeking a knowledgeable Network and Security analyst to ensure that our computer network enhances business operations, and our data is secure. This involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network hardware and software to ensure network performance, security, and availability.
Responsibilities- Monitoring network traffic, diagnosing problems, installing security measures, creating network diagrams, and documenting changes.
- Analyzing and monitoring network performance.
- Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, anomalies, and potential security threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and address weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Providing network support and resolving connectivity issues.
- Configuring hardware and software to optimize network communication.
- Setting up VPNs, LAN, VLAN and WAN networks, as well as Voice Over IP and VTC devices.
- Managing IP addresses and resolving conflicts.
- Monitoring and maintaining network servers and performing upgrades.
- Performing system administration tasks and ensuring network security.
- Documenting processes and monitoring network performance metrics.
- Consulting with internal departments and training IT support staff.
- Keeping up with advancements in network technologies and solutions.
- Associate of Science degree in computer network administration or equivalent diploma. Bachelor's degree in computer science or management information systems would be advantageous.
- 2-5 years of experience as a network security analyst, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and network installation techniques.
- Exceptional ability to provide network support and resolve errors.
- Experience with Inter-Network Operating Systems.
- Advanced knowledge of network setup and security.
- Ability to keep up with advancements in IT network technologies.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills.
