Job Opportunity: Council Services Manager

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of Council services in the Warruwi community, managing a team and delivering essential services to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct employees in providing road maintenance, parks and gardens maintenance, sport and recreation services, Centrelink, a crèche, community care programs and after-school care.
  • Direct, oversee and monitor the delivery of these services to ensure they meet the needs of the community.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Previous management experience and well-developed skills in asset management, project management, provision of service delivery programs, people management, budget analysis, and business operations.
  • Proven ability to undertake multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively manage workloads to meet critical time frames.
  • Sound understanding of issues affecting Indigenous communities in remote locations and cultural awareness.
