We are seeking highly motivated researchers to join a collaborative project investigating warm water intrusions onto the Antarctic continental shelf.

Project Overview

The research aims to investigate the dynamics of warm water intrusions and their impact on the Antarctic ecosystem. The study will be conducted in collaboration with leading experts from UNSW, ANU, and GFDL.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research on the dynamics of warm water intrusions and their impact on the Antarctic ecosystem.
  2. Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement research plans.
  3. Analyze data and publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals.
Team and Supervision

The successful candidates will work under the supervision of Prof. Matthew England, Prof Andy Hogg, Dr Paul Spence, Dr Adele Morrison, and Dr Stephen Griffies.

Location and Duration

One position will be located at UNSW in Sydney, Australia, while the other will be based at ANU in Canberra, Australia. Both appointments are initially funded for two years, with strong potential for an extension into a third year.
