We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator to lead high-availability database solutions for our clients. This role requires a proven track record of managing complex database environments on the z/OS platform, with expertise in database design, architecture, and performance optimization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize Db2 database environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with application developers to deploy and implement Db2 changes, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Design and implement database architectures that meet business requirements, including data structure, schema, and security.
  • Analyze problems and perform root cause analysis to resolve issues efficiently, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator role.
  • A deep understanding of database design principles, database architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
