About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Surveillance Officer to join our team at Evolve Talent. As a key member of our infrastructure construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of specialized tasks in tunneling, drill and blast, and underground operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Supervision: Utilize your extensive years of supervision experience to lead and guide on-site teams, ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Tunneling and Drilling Expertise: Apply your expertise in tunneling, drill and blast, or underground operations to oversee and ensure the successful execution of specialized tasks in these areas.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety audits and addressing any potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to verify that all work aligns with project plans and meets industry standards.
  • Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and prepare detailed reports on project progress, issues, and resolutions, and communicate this information to project management.
  • Problem Solving: Act proactively to identify and address any challenges or obstacles that may hinder project success, offering effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years experience in similar roles in the infrastructure construction or related industries.
  • Construction trade/supervision background, combined with relevant training & experience.
  • Highly developed influencing & negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and timely decision making, problem identification and resolution.
  • Ability to effectively manage change to work tasks and the work environment, and assist others with adapting to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups.
  • The ability to work responsibly and effectively both at site and remote from site.
