About the Role:

The Material Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials used in the construction of Snowy 2.0, a large-scale pumped hydro scheme in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. This is a critical role that requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong understanding of quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and monitor material requirements and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct surveillance on construction activities to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare and monitor quality information tools to manage outstanding QC activities.
  • Ensure compliance of all relevant permanent supplies and accompanying documentation.
  • Monitor and manage required tests and results according to applicable standards and employer's requirements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • White Card and experience working in the construction industry.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably on large-scale construction projects.
  • Good understanding of Quality Specification (Q6) and ISO AS/NZS 9001 requirements.
  • Sound experience and knowledge of construction materials and related specifications.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and EMDS.
