Project Manager - Structural Engineering

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Project Engineer to lead the design, review, and execution of complex construction projects. This role involves driving structural integrity, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality structures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead design reviews, procurement, and installation on site, adhering to Australian standards.
  • Develop and approve structural packages, aligning with project specifications and feasibility.
  • Conduct site assessments to ensure structural integrity and construction suitability.
  • Apply advanced structural analysis to optimize construction methods.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement, optimizing financial efficiency.
  • Lead quality assurance, providing training and oversight to uphold construction excellence.
  • Drive a safety-first culture, conducting structural construction and component-related risk assessments, and implementing preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other site teams for structural integration.
  • Lead technical discussions, providing expert guidance to teams, contractors, and clients.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia if obtained overseas).
  • Over 7 years of experience in structural engineering across design review, analysis, and execution of large-scale projects, with at least 3 years in Australia.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, BIM, and project management software (e.g Procore).
  • PMP certification is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to oversee structural engineering from design review to completion.
  • Ability to identify and implement efficient solutions in structural design and execution.
