
Workplace Relations Strategist

The role of Lead Workplace Relations Expert involves taking charge of complex industrial and workplace relations matters, providing guidance to HR Business Partners and senior leaders on disciplinary processes, investigations, grievances, appeals, and more.
This position requires expanding expertise by leading advocacy in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) and defending claims to WorkCover Qld. The expert will influence policy, drive resolution of disputes, and contribute to a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading complex industrial and workplace relations matters
- Guiding HR Business Partners and senior leaders through disciplinary processes
- Expanding expertise by leading advocacy in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC)
- Defending claims to WorkCover Qld
- Influencing policy and resolving disputes
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in workplace relations and/or employment law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure
- Thorough knowledge of legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and Awards
