Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join our team on a 12-month parental leave cover. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for building robust customer demand plans, delivering accurate volume demand forecasts, and performing root cause analysis for forecast variance. You will also support sales and marketing in creating innovation plans and facilitate customer demand review sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to develop and maintain accurate demand plans.
  2. Deliver high-quality demand forecasts as a key input into our Integrated Business Planning Process.
  3. Perform root cause analysis to identify and address forecast variance.
  4. Support sales and marketing in creating innovation plans and end-of-life-cycle planning.
  5. Facilitate customer demand review sessions and drive improved forecast quality.
  6. Collaborate with Supply Planning to manage inventory targets and CFR.
  7. Meet inventory and customer service targets, ensuring volumes, assumptions, and actions are shared and agreed.
  8. Highlight areas of risk to the annual and monthly P&L.
  9. Develop and communicate mitigation plans to balance supply, inventory, service, and cost.
  10. Lead the team to ensure communication on demand, supply, and inventory issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Requirements:

  1. At least 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Planning, or Forecasting.
  2. Strong analytical skills using third-party tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Prevail, SAP).
  3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  4. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically with a bias for action.
  5. Experience with S&OP forums, reviews, and procedures.
  6. Logistics expertise (front and back end).
  7. SAP/APO-SNP knowledge.

  4. Experience working in a matrix/global organization.
