About Our Client

Our client is a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) organisation. They are currently seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join the team at their head office.

The Demand Planning Specialist is an integral member of the Australian Planning team and will manage the entire end-to-end forecasting process across multiple brand portfolios. Specifically, you will:

  1. Develop and Manage the Forecasting Process using advanced business intelligence tools and software.
  2. Manage the Forecast in collaboration with sales teams for all Australian customers.
  3. Be the Primary Contact for any demand planning issues for all Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  4. Conduct Forecast Review Meetings monthly with the sales team to discuss and analyze forecasting data.
  5. Participate in Demand Review and Forecast Sign-off Meetings to ensure accurate forecasting and data-driven decision making.
  6. Analyze and Review Forecast Accuracy and other forecast drivers to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Improve Forecast Accuracy by implementing data-driven strategies and best practices.
  8. Manage Forecast Input and Execution of New Products Introduction (NPD) projects.
  9. Participate in NPD Project Teams representing Demand Planning and providing expertise on forecasting and data analysis.
  10. Manage the Execution of Deleted Lines and manage run outs - forecast and stock levels.
  11. Act as a Business Partner representing the planning team with sales and marketing retail teams.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain, Marketing, or Sales.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a demand planning role, preferably in the FMCG industry and ideally in the food sector.
  • Strong Computer Skills, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Business Acumen and ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
