**About the Role**:
The Head of Demand Planning will be responsible for the accuracy of the business’ consensus demand forecast. This will be achieved by combining market knowledge, input from key stakeholders and historical data. By rigorously challenging the assumptions provided by all stakeholders, the role will ensure the forecast is as robust as possible with risks and opportunities clearly identified and understood. Once constructed, the plan must be then effectively communicated to the business.
This role will also be responsible for continually improving the IBP and demand processes.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Collaborate with the leaders across supply, sales and finance to agree the monthly timeline and expectations and prepare IBP deck with key insights and analysis
- Present the forward forecast at monthly IBP meetings which include facilitating discussion to align on any key decisions required
- Ensure all levels of the business have received required communications on changes and/or actions from the cycle
- Drive monthly forecast process and provide an independent view of the forward forecast
- Lead the monthly consensus demand reviews across key channels/categories and agree the changes to the forward forecast (sales in and sales out) for the next 6-month period
- Analyse the Demand Plan to review validity of the information and planning process and identify anomalies or exceptions, major changes and monthly risk & opportunities
- Validate consistency with sales and marketing plans and capture the business drivers for key changes in the forecast vs budget
- Prepare a 12 monthly rolling statistical forecast for total ANZ reviewed capturing baseline and promotional volume separately
- Work closely with supply chain and sales to reduce potential out of stocks or minimise stock write offs through improved forecast accuracy & communication
- Communicate the consensus forecast with the organisation in a logical, easy to understand manner
- Ensure integrity of the data between the different versions and systems (Anaplan, Kinaxis, Onestream)
**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring a high level of business and commercial acumen with the ability to multitask, prioritise and adapt to business needs. You will be self-driven, motivated and able to work under pressure.
Previous skills & experience:
- Solid experience in Demand Planning Management / IBP
- Previous experience managing teams (preferred)
- Strong stakeholder engagement with a high level of insight to challenge ways of working and obtain leadership buy in
- Data driven mindset to influence and effect change
- Demonstrated strategic agility for high level planning an execution
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (ideal)
