Electric Power Systems EngineerJob Overview

The role of a Senior Electric Power Systems Engineer involves working closely with global teams to strengthen relationships with key customers and drive the strategy for Data Centre Segment. As an enabler and advisor, you will establish Eaton ANZ as a trusted partner in meeting grid connection requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay up-to-date with national grid technical requirements, challenges, and regulations related to new customer power connections.
  • Provide regular updates on upcoming technology/rule changes, identify gaps to be addressed, and perform risk vs opportunity analyses.
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams on modelling requirements such as PSCAD, PSSE, and PowerFactory.
  • Assess and advise on impacts of new technologies in Data Centres, HVDC, BESS, and EV infrastructure integration.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience within the energy sector as project engineer/project manager.
  • Knowledge of power system modelling software such as PSCAD, PSSE; experience with BESS is highly advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
