Power Infrastructure Design Expert

About this position
We seek an experienced Electric Power Specialist to join our team. Our division specializes in the design, procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of critical telecommunications power infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in designing turnkey DC Power Systems for telecommunications equipment Diesel Generating Plant, UPS Systems earthing systems, building and civil works to support installations such as Solar Power systems
- Manage end-to-end projects including forecasting materials, detailed quotes and engineering solutions for specific programs of work, monitoring progress against timeframes
- Offer design support to construction crews and supervisors
- Liaise with suppliers regarding products, warranties and delivery schedules and customers to meet desired design and project outcomes
- Project management including liaising with customers and offering support to installation personnel
About you
- A degree in electrical engineering or electrical trade qualifications with suitable experience
- A preparedness to work away from home as required on both resource sector projects and other telecommunications sites
- Ability to use computer packages: Excel, Access & Microsoft Office Suite programs, CAD (Autodesk Autocad or Microstation) experience would be advantageous
- Experience in design telepower installations to current standards and regulatory requirements
- Design and construction experience in DC power systems for telecommunications equipment, Diesel Generating Plant and UPS Systems
- LV switchboard/submains design and installation
- Provision of civil and building facilities is desirable
