Disaster Recovery Policy Specialist

Ongoing role that involves leading and managing the development, delivery and implementation of a portfolio of policy initiatives, projects and/or reforms that support organisational objectives and Government commitments.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive and engaged team that is passionate about disaster preparation and recovery.
We are looking for someone who has experience in providing policy advice in a dynamic environment and influencing Government policy in response to state-wide disaster recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and undertaking research, analysis and review of complex policy and/or legislative reform issues
- Identifying emerging issues and developing evidence-based options and strategies
The role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to drive activities to align resources to deliver priorities and a positive customer experience.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, insights, challenges, industry trends and practices and opportunities to identify, pursue, evaluate, recommend and deliver innovative solutions.
