Payroll Specialist

The successful Payroll Specialist will be responsible for navigating the accurate delivery of payroll across various organisations, ensuring timely and error-free payments.

  • Navigate multiple payrolls with confidence, maintaining accurate employee pay details and ensuring every payment lands on time and without error.
  • Work closely with finance, HR, and senior leaders to resolve queries and maintain open communication.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure payroll practices adhere to relevant legislation and employment law.
  • Handle timely payments and accurate reporting of statutory requirements.
  • Prepare accurate payroll reports to inform stakeholders about future compliance needs.

Data Management and Security

  • Maintain secure, accurate employee records from onboarding to role changes.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to configure, test, and launch new payroll systems.
  • Own the system post-launch, ensuring data integrity and streamlining payroll workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in payroll operations, preferably in small to medium-sized organisations.
  • Skilled in managing end-to-end payroll and payroll partners, with a strong understanding of legislation, entitlements, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to launch and refine payroll or HRIS systems, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive communicator who collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive payroll excellence.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and elevate the payroll experience.
