Heavy Equipment Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced tradesperson to fill the role of Heavy Equipment Technician. As part of our dynamic team, you will have opportunities for career progression in a collaborative and supportive work environment.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintenance and Repair: performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing defects, and making repairs to heavy equipment. This includes dismantling and reassembling machinery, operating and inspecting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safety Procedures: adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEAs). This ensures a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Operational Guidelines: following established guidelines for operating heavy equipment, including reading and understanding operator's manuals and directives from management.
  • Teamwork and Initiative: working collaboratively with other team members, respecting diversity in the workplace, and taking initiative to complete tasks efficiently.

About the Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a trade-qualified individual with a minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. They will also be knowledgeable about machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
