Heavy Equipment Technician Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our service team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment including earthmoving machinery, telehandlers, and other construction equipment.

Job Summary:

Our ideal candidate will have trade qualification in Mechanical or related field, with minimum 3+ years post-trade experience in servicing heavy equipment. They must possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, and ability to work independently and efficiently in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
  • Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with the service team
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Manage and maintain service tools, equipment, and stock levels
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service and technical expertise

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years post-trade experience in servicing heavy equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in the field
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (essential for application)
