About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team at ACRWORLD. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will play a critical role in leading and coordinating exciting projects that focus on environmental compliance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide technical advice and develop solutions in line with current NSW and national environmental legislation, leading contaminated land assessments and remediation strategies, and designing field investigations including soil or groundwater sampling.
  • Fieldwork and Sampling: Conduct fieldwork, including sampling of contaminated sites, with minimal supervision, and ensure compliance with all statutory and company HSSE policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Team Management: Mentor and train graduate consultants, fostering their professional development and integration into project teams, and oversee the technical quality of work produced by junior staff.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of project delivery, and review and streamline departmental documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and technical workshops to support continuous learning within the team.
About You
  • Education and Experience: Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with a strong foundation in earth sciences, hydrogeology, geology, or chemistry, and a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in contaminated land management, including fieldwork and strategy development.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, current construction industry White Card, and an unrestricted Australian driver's license.
  • Personal Qualities: Willingness to travel as needed, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
