Job Title: APS6 Service Designer
Location: Remote
Contract Length: 12 months
Hourly Rate: $60.26 per hour + super
Work Arrangement: Work from home available
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis to identify insights and create a common understanding of service design.
- Co-create and document current state services through design research, identifying current participant and staff experience, and business processes.
- Co-create and facilitate process design improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Advocate for the voice and experience of participants and stakeholders in service design.
- Facilitate design-thinking sessions with service users to design and test future services (processes, channels, experiences).
- Understand the complex agency ecosystem and change impacts on service design.
- Ensure that end-to-end service experiences are based on participant and staff needs, aligned with the Digital Service Standard, and consistent across different touchpoints.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of proposed solutions and design at both conceptual and tactical levels.
- Support the Service Design Lead and Service Designers with system tools and other duties as required.
- Provide support to maintain governance requirements within the Scheme Reform Program.
- Deliver consistent, timely reporting that meets established cadence.
- Require prior to commencement: NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Australian Citizenship (this role is only available for Australian Citizens).
- Experience in working in multi-disciplinary agile teams across varied skillsets on large projects.
- Experience in service design, including developing service design artefacts:
- Communication, synthesis, and creative skills to solve complex problems.
- Capacity to drive Human Centred Design-led thinking.
- Qualitative and quantitative research capability.
- Ability to assess change impacts to customers and/or stakeholders.
- Capacity to work in an environment of change and ambiguity.
- Skills in stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
- Preferable to have prior knowledge and experience in disability, social services, or public sector.
- Demonstrated experience with Jira, Sharepoint, MS Suite, Creately (or comparable design tools i.e. Miro, Mural) and Qualtrics (or comparable design tools i.e. Dovetail, Condens).
