The team is seeking a skilled and compassionate specialist to support members through challenging times.
Your New RoleThis permanent role will see you play a key part in the insurance and claims space by providing exceptional service to members navigating terminal illness and/or death claims. Your focus will be on processing claims in a timely and empathetic manner, while delivering high-quality service in line with compliance regulations and organisational values.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of terminal illness and/or death claims from notification through to payment stage, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are met.
- Act as the primary point of contact for members, providing clear explanations of claim-related procedures and addressing queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Guide members through the process of lodging terminal illness claims with the fund, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
- Maintain accurate records and workflow, ensuring all outstanding work items are managed within service standards.
- Relevant experience in a similar claims role, preferably in superannuation or insurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational abilities to manage tasks according to priority.
- Advanced use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to work autonomously.
A relevant tertiary qualification in superannuation, claims management or insurance would be highly regarded.
