Critical Minerals Liaison

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to facilitate our engagement with mineral extraction activities on Wotjobaluk Country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Corporation's engagement with industry and government on new and existing mineral extraction projects;
  • Contribute to the redevelopment of the Corporation's Country Plan, overseeing the embedding of mineral resource considerations;
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including the Wotjobaluk Peoples community, resource extraction firms, and government entities;
  • Coordinate governance and delivery of projects and programs in accordance with respective funding agreements;
Requirements:
  • Subject matter expertise in extraction industries, project management, or a related field through tertiary education or equivalent experience;
  • Substantial demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and groups, including community groups, businesses, and Traditional Owner Corporations;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to produce reporting materials for funding acquittal;
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, being able to build and sustain partnerships which balance multiple priorities;
