Product Leadership Role

This senior leadership position oversees the modernisation of a high-impact program, driving end-to-end delivery of critical upgrades and platform enhancements.

  • The successful candidate will lead the product backlog for the modernisation program, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  • They will proactively manage dependencies, risks, and technical challenges to ensure timely completion and quality delivery.
  • A strong advocate for modern engineering practices, security standards, and performance optimisation, this individual will drive technical excellence throughout the organisation.
  • Post-deployment, they will monitor KPIs and success metrics to ensure business value is achieved and sustained.

The ideal candidate will partner with technical leads to design and execute upgrades and deployments, including:

  • Migrating existing systems to AWS Cloud native architectures.
  • Implementing containerisation for scalable application hosting on AWS.
  • Upgrading Oracle databases to Amazon RDS for improved reliability and performance.
  • Ensuring seamless migration of Oracle databases to AWS RDS with minimal downtime and data integrity assurance.
  • Expanding the use of CloudWatch to enhance monitoring and protection of the Fines Product.

To excel in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in large-scale digital transformation or modernisation programs.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex upgrades and platform migrations.
  • Strong technical understanding of relevant technologies and activities.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance technical constraints and business priorities.
  • Experience in cloud security best practices and DevOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Understanding of system performance tuning and monitoring tools.
