The Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) Manager role is a strategic position that requires the ability to develop and implement mature lifecycle management and work planning activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop methodologies and frameworks around ALM, including processes related to scope management, scheduling, planning, governance, and reporting, as well as stakeholder engagement.

- Define clear roles and responsibilities for each party, including applications, infrastructure vendors, third parties, business, and IT.

- Create new templates or modify existing ones based on ALM analysis and execution related to various treatments along with operation templates/tracker for daily, weekly, and monthly status updates.

- Collaborate with the ALM team, application BAU, and infrastructure teams to create an ALM Master Sheet for sources (server remediation list, CMDB, application inventory, AMS life cycle tracker, etc.).

Benchmarking Phase

- Prepare user stories for in-scope technical components under ALM with assistance from application and infrastructure SMEs in consultation with architects and ITPMs.

- Manage product backlogs and prioritize user stories for defining sprint plans under Agile delivery framework, agreeing with various stakeholders (applications, infrastructure, and ITPM) and conducting ceremonies after each sprint completion.

- Plan and conduct daily standup meetings with various teams (applications and infrastructure) and proactively mitigate delivery risks/challenges.

- Track each sprint under various treatment plans for analysis, execution, and remediation through change management processes.

- Provide status reports (weekly, monthly) according to defined delivery governance models, including various KPI reporting as per defined in contracts.

- Forecast application lifecycle management initiatives for three years.

- Identify key constraints, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and issues derived from lifecycle plans and track remediation of CARI logs.

- Proactively plan skilled resource allocation for Core Flex based on additional efforts for ALM delivery.

- Develop a plan for continual improvement delivered through the ALM service.

Required Skills & Experience

- Practical experience in managing application life cycle maintenance projects with Agile delivery framework and thought leadership.

- Rational decision-making with multiple stakeholder engagement.

- Good articulation and presentation skills with excellent communication skills.

- ITIL process knowledge.

- Agile and DevOps knowledge.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of application lifecycle management tools and technologies.
