About the Role

As a seasoned leader in distribution team management, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and embedding a strong safety culture.

You will lead the Leadership Team and direct reports, ensuring seamless performance outcomes that support business growth and regulatory compliance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering the highest possible safety standards by conducting regular leadership walks and reviewing works practices to ensure field staff have the appropriate resources.
  • Maintaining a consistent presence at the depot to ensure visible leadership and facilitate issue escalation.
  • Managing personnel in accordance with Zinfra policies, ensuring only qualified staff are employed or assigned to carry out required tasks.
  • Optimising performance of the Overhead and Underground Distribution teams by identifying efficiencies in scheduling, resource allocation, and business processes.
  • Taking accountability for financial performance and working closely with peers in the Leadership Team.
  • Maintaining positive Industrial Relations interactions and leading union-related issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven ability to drive a safety culture and implement improved safety processes.
  • Strong understanding of Victorian Electrical Distribution Networks and VESI requirements.
  • Effective interpersonal and influencing skills to develop strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated competency in utilisation of resources and matching workforce capabilities to deliver work.
  • Experience in planning and strategy, as well as managing field teams.
