Job Title:

A Compliance Specialist position is available.

This role involves ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws, assessing risks to the organization, and maintaining the security and privacy of patient and customer data.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Compliance Manager in performing internal reviews, research, and/or audits to verify compliance with government laws/regulations, client requirements, accreditations/certifications, audit frameworks, and/or organizational policies/procedures.
  2. Document findings and organize data for identification of potential risk areas.
  3. Stay informed of applicable rule and regulation changes in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
  4. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Document Management System (DMS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
  5. Coordinate with appropriate departments and/or cross-functional teams to ensure all applicable documents are reviewed and revised within the specified timeframes.
  6. Has attention to detail, organization skills, excellent proofreading skills, prompt response to action items, and the ability to handle change.
  7. Performs document control functions, including tracking, processing, review, formatting, distribution, and archiving of documents.
  8. Evaluate document organization, proofread, and provide additional quality checks before document finalization.
  9. Assists the Compliance Manager in the review and management of third-party audits.
  10. Verifies compliance with insurer rules, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
  11. Assists in Incident Management and CAPA process.
  12. Assists Compliance Manager in conducting enterprise-wide Risk Assessment.
  13. Receives, investigates, and resolves compliance and/or privacy related complaints or concerns.
  14. Maintains Compliance & Privacy logs as required.
  15. Assists the Compliance Manager in training efforts and initiatives, including preparation of materials and presenting training through a variety of methods
Requirements:
  • CHC or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio. Experience with Jira Service Desk a plus.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
