Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Recycling Centre Supervisor to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our recycling depot, ensuring maximum operational uptime and processing volumes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a small team, providing ongoing mentoring, coaching, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operational Management: Ensure efficient management of operational team to maximize processing volumes and maintain high levels of operational uptime.
  • WHS Governance: Responsible for all depot WHS governance, practices, and improvements, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and customers.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshooting: Work with our technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues with our reverse vending machines.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Tomra's SAFE Standards and Guidelines.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the waste management or recycling industry.
  • Tertiary qualification in Frontline Management or equivalent (preferred).
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to motivate and support employees through ongoing professional development.
  • Forklift license preferred.
  • Customer-focused and experienced in handling customer complaints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • A strong drive for personal achievement and success.
  • Prepared to undergo a mandatory Police Check and a Pre-employment Medical assessment to assess capability to perform the role requirements safely.
