Job Title: Business Development Specialist

About the Role:

You will play a key role in supporting Relationship Managers to provide value to business customers across various channels. Your primary responsibility will be to support all stages of the funding and review cycle of these business customers.

This will provide the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's leading businesses and learn the fundamentals of banking in a hands-on role.

  • Support Relationship Managers in managing relationships with customers within their assigned portfolio tier.
  • Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks related to customer portfolios.
  • Analyse financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and other complex financial reports.
  • Evaluate lending risk levels in line with our Risk Appetite Statement.
  • Demonstrate a risk management culture in line with our values.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues related to your role responsibilities.
  • Comply with our complaint resolution process to resolve matters.
  • Build strong, genuine relationships with key stakeholders.

You will ideally possess:

  • Experience in growing and retaining a customer base.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial services, preferably in Business Banking (Commercial or Agribusiness).
  • Excellent communication skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills to explore opportunities for mutual benefit.
  • Planning and organisational skills to establish processes to achieve goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
