About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Day Surgery & Surgical Admissions team at Newcastle Private Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality surgical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care

  • Proactively assess and improve perioperative nursing care
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-registration experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in an acute surgical unit, preferably in Day Surgery, Admissions, or Recovery
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives
  • Advanced communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work a seven-day roster, including night duty
