Senior Mental Health Specialist

This leadership position offers an opportunity to bring specialist psychiatric knowledge and skills to support the delivery of high-quality mental health services in a remote region.

As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, you will provide care to individuals living with mental health and associated substance use disorders, while also offering leadership to a multi-disciplinary team. You will oversee clinical governance, actively contribute to education and training, participate in quality improvement initiatives, uphold professional behaviour standards, take part in on-call rosters, and ensure ongoing professional development.

You will work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Effective communication skills, cultural awareness, and a commitment to respectful and inclusive care are essential for carrying out your duties.
