Unique Opportunity for Non-VR General Practitioners

This position offers a unique opportunity for non-VR general practitioners to receive fully funded training to complete their fellowship.

  • Our program provides personalised supervision and comprehensive support to ensure your success.

  • We have a high 80% fellowship achievement rate, making us a leader in rural medical education.

  • Eligible candidates may be entitled to receive relocation assistance and guaranteed eligibility for A1 Medicare rates.

Employment Details:

  • Employment type: Permanent – Full-Time.

  • Practice information: Solo practice with one Doctor, one RN and two ENs that job share.

  • There is no pathological service on site, but blood samples are collected by courier.

  • A mental health team visits Dysart once a week, and allied health teams provide services at the hospital.

  • The medical centre is a mixed billing practice, bulk billing seniors and concession card holders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • AHPRA registration with 2 years Australian Medical System experience.

  • Interest in rural medical practice and emergency medicine.

After Hours Requirements:

  • The medical centre covers the hospital 24/7.

About Dysart:

  • Dysart is a mining town of approximately 3000 permanent residents and 2500 FIFO/DIDO workers.

  • The town has limited amenities, including two footy fields, a swimming pool, gym, and civic centre.

  • There are two motels and a bowls club in the area.
